We will Open for the 2025 Season on April 24! It’s SPRING!

Gardenworks: A Country Destination for Every Season

Gardenworks at MacClan Farms is a century old, fourth generation farm located in upstate New York. We greet each season with energy and new ideas.

We invite you to visit our Calendar of Events page to learn more details about all of our Classes, Workshops, Date Nights, and Special Events.
Join us every Second Saturday for a Food for Life Class ($28) followed by a Community Plant Powered Potluck (FREE)!

Spring

The farm bursts with new life and the greenhouse is brimming with colorful annuals & perennials. Our marketplace showcases colorful floral accents, candles, napkins, and delicious specialty groceries, pies, and treats from the farm kitchen. The Pick Your Own Healthcare field boasts early, cool season crops such as lettuce, spinach, bok choy, kale, and sugar snap peas as well as cool season flowers including sweet peas, stock and snap dragons. We look forward to the first taste!

Summer

This is the season to “eat fresh” and pick sweet blueberries for year around healthful eating. We encourage this with our “berry rewards” program, Thursday through Sunday, when you may take berries home free if you share half of your harvest with us.

Also, you’re invited to pick & purchase beautiful cut-flowers, vegetables and herbs from our Pick Your Own Healthcare field. The u-pick fields and farm stand are open daily from 7am-7pm June thru October; please pay inside when the store is open Thursday thru Sunday 9am-5pm. For produce not grown here we also sell local produce from nearby farms. Summer tastes so good!

Join and learn at our “Seed to Plate Saturdays,” hosted on the last Saturday of the month featuring a Food for Life Class at 3pm and a Community Plant Powered Potluck at 5pm. Join us for date nights or fitness classes in the fields!

Enjoy a weekend lunch at The Cheese + Cafe outdoors in a garden setting. The menu features farm fresh in season vegetables & fruits, paninis, quiche as well as plant-based entrees.

We welcome you to stay with us in our Respite Cabin in the woods on the farm. Enjoy an off-grid, open air experience with a beautiful table, family games, bunk beds and stone fireplace. Take time to celebrate summer!

Fall

It’s harvest season and we invite you to pick fall raspberries. You’ll find late season vegetables in the barn and in the Pick Your Own Healthcare fields such as pumpkins, squashes, kale, beans, potatoes, a continuation of our summer crops including stunning flowers. Join us for Date Nights in the Flower Fields, the Farm Bounty Tour Festival, Seed to Plate Saturdays: Food for Life Class and a Community Plant Powered Potluck. You’re also invited to our first Dried Flower Demo Day and October Harvest Festival.

Holiday

Visit us for our first Handmade Marketplace to meet artisans & authors. You’ll find beautiful jewelry, alpaca socks, pottery and tour our forest of fresh-cut Christmas trees and decorated full Fraser hand-tied wreaths.

Visit the barn for hand-crafted gifts, beautiful jewelry, alpaca socks, and tour our forest of fresh-cut Christmas trees and decorated full Fraser hand-tied wreaths.
